How to install Drupal in Installatron

This tutorial assumes you already have Installatron open.

1) Go to Applications Browser.

Scroll down until you find the script in the menu.

2) Click Drupal.

3) Select Install This Application.

4) Click Next.

5) Select the domain where this script should be installed, if you have more than one.

6) Set the path.

7) Click Next.

8) Choose the version to install. Unless you need an older release, you should install the latest.

9) Click Next.

In order to install this script, you must agree to the End User License Agreement.

10) Click I Accept.

11) Choose your database settings or leave the default to automatically create and setup a database for you.

12) Click Next.

13) Enter your admin username, password and email.

14) Click Next.

15) Click Submit to install.

After a moment the script will be installed. This screen shows information about the installation.

16) Click Complete.

17) Use this link to view your newly installed software.

This tutorial assumes you’ve already logged in to Drupal

1) Click the Administer link

Now let’s learn how to manage users

2) Click the Users link here

3) Let’s add a user now…  click Add user

4) Enter a Username for the new user here

5) Then enter the new user’s Email address

6) Enter and confirm a password for the new user

7) When finished, click Create new account

8) That’s it!  A new user account has been created. Click the List link here

Here is the user we just created. From here we can edit the user, including changing their password

Or we can delete the user… which we’re going to do now

9) Select Delete the selected users

10) Then click Update

11) Click here to confirm you want to delete the account

The user we created has now been deleted

12) Click the User management link

13) Then click the Roles link

A role is a way of giving selected permissions to a group of users… which you can do from here

14) Click the User settings link

… and from here you can change many settings for the users of your site

1) Click the My account link

This is the edit account page where we can configure our account. It is from here that you can change your username and email address…

You can also change your password, and set your signature

You can change the time zone as well. When finished, click the submit button here

How to install Drupal from Fantastico

This tutorial assumes you’ve already launched the Fantastico application.

1) Now let’s learn how to install Drupal. Click the Drupal link located in the left sidebar.

2) This is the Drupal installation screen. Drupal is an advanced portal with collaborative book, search engine friendly URLs, online help, roles, full content search, site watching, threaded comments, version control, etc. Click the New Installation link.

3) Enter the name of the directory you want to install in or leave this field blank for installation in the root directory.

4) Enter an admin username and password in the following boxes.

5) Enter an admin email address

6) When ready, click here to install

7) Click here to finish the installation

That’s it! Drupal has been successfully installed in your account, and is ready for you to start configuring it

8) Click here to login to your new installation

9) Login using the admin username and password you assigned during installation

Your new installation is now listed here on the script’s home page. From here you can visit the site by clicking here… or remove the script from your account by clicking here
