How to manage the backups made with Installatron

Once you have created a backup, you can restore it if needed.

1) Go to the My Backups tab.

2) Click Restore This Backup.

3) Click Next to start.

4) Select the files, directories and database tables that will be restored. Anything in red will overwrite an existing item in the destination.

5) Click Next.

6) Click Submit.

7) Click Complete.

Backups take up space on your server. Once you no longer need a backup, you can delete it.

8) Go to My Backups.

9) Click Delete.

10) Click Next.

11) Click Next.

12) Submit to delete.

13) Click Complete.

If there is a new version of an application installed in Installatron, you can upgrade to the latest one.

If an application is up to date, a green check will be displayed next to the version like shown here.

If there’s a newer version, a button will be displayed.

1) Click the button to begin.

2) Click Next.

Here we can see the latest version and the current version. You can select an earlier version to upgrade to, but it’s recommended that you upgrade to the latest.

3) Click Next.

4) Select whether or not to create a backup in case something breaks during upgrading.

5) Click Next.

6) Click Submit.

7) Click Complete.

8) Click this link to view our newly upgraded application.

Everything appears to have upgraded correctly.

How to install Magento in Installatron

Let’s see how to install Magento from Installatron.

1) Click Applications Browser.

Scroll down and find the application in the list.

2) Choose Magento.

This page will show you more information about the script.

3) When ready, click Install This Application.

4) Click Next to begin.

If you have multiple domain names, select the one where this application should be installed.

5) Enter the path here.

6) Click Next.

7) Choose the version that should be installed. You should choose the latest version unless you require an older release.

8) Click Next.

You must accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) before continuing.

9) Click I Accept.

10) Set the database management settings here. Leave the default if you want Installatron to automatically create and setup a database.

11) Click Next.

12) Enter the desired admin username and password for this installation.

13) Type your first and last name and email, then click Next.

14) Click Submit to install.

After a moment the software will be installed and a page containing information about the installation will be displayed.

15) Click Complete.

16) Use this link to view your newly installed application.

How to install osCommerce in Installatron

This tutorial assumes you already have Installatron open.

1) Go to Applications Browser.

2) Scroll down and click osCommerce in the menu.

3) Select Install This Application.

4) Click Next.

5) Select the domain where this script should be installed, if you have more than one.

6) Set the path.

7) Click Next.

8) Choose the version to install. Unless you need an older release, you should install the latest.

9) Click Next.

In order to install this script, you must agree to the End User License Agreement.

10) Click I Accept.

11) Choose your database settings or leave the default to automatically create and setup a database for you.

12) Click Next.

13) Enter your admin username and password.

14) Click Next.

15) Click Submit to install.

After a moment the script will be installed. This screen shows information about the installation.

16) Click Complete.

17) Use this link to view your newly installed software.
